1. Teams: You may enter the tournament individually or with a partner of your choice. No more than two adults per boat will be allowed in a participating 2-team boat during tournament hours.
2. Fishing Hours: Fishing hours are from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. All lines must be out of the water by 3:00 PM.
3. Entry Fees: The entry fee is $160.00 and must be paid by February 1st, 2025 (click here for more information). If you choose to pay at the captain's meeting, the fee will be $200.00 per boat.
4. State Law: All teams should comply with state and boating regulations, including the USC of PFD (Personal Flotation Devices) and kill switches.
5. Minors: Any minor (under 18) who participates must have an adult (18 or over) on the boat with them both days. One child under the age of 10 is allowed to participate with a team.
6. Big Fish: The Big Fish entry is included in the tournament entry fee. Only one Big Fish per team will be allowed, and only one Big Fish will be permitted to weigh-in. Teams must present their Big Fish marked or tagged prior to weigh-in.
7. Off Limit & Boundaries: Tournament waters are OFF-LIMITS starting Friday, February 7th @ noon. Fishing boundaries include any fishable water accessible from the three launch sites: Highland Park Fish Camp, White Hair Bridge on SR 44, Astor Public Boat Ramp. Participants are NOT ALLOWED to exit their boat to gain access to fishable waters. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
8. ALL Boats: You must fish from a boat with a minimum of 6 HP or greater.
9. Poles: A limit of 8 poles per team (in the water) during the tournament. There is no limit on the number of poles in the boat.
10. Baits: A maximum of two baits per pole (live or artificial) may be used.
11. Other Equipment: Binoculars and other magnifying devices are not allowed during the tournament or pre-fishing.
12. Spotters: During tournament hours, no one may spot fish or mark fishing spots for you in any way. If caught, you will be disqualified.
13. Hole Sitting: No hole sitting by a competitor or non-competitors during the tournament.
14. Scales: Scales will be set up 1 hour prior to 4:00 PM for teams that may have fish close to expiring. Official weigh-in time is 4:00 PM.
15. Weigh-in Site: Highland Park Fish Camp will be the official weigh-in location. Teams must be in line no later than 4:00 PM on both days. No Exceptions!!
16. Fish: All fish must be brought to the official weigh-in line. You may transport them in a proper cooler. Teams must weigh-in seven Crappie. All seven Crappie must be alive when entering the weigh-in line. Once in line, all fish will be counted and verified dead or alive. Dead fish will NOT be counted.
17. Live Well Check: Each team must complete a live well check at one of the three launch sites every day of the tournament. Live well checks will begin at 5:00 AM. Teams must launch from that site. Once the check is completed and signed off, teams may proceed to their fishing destinations. Caution: If your live wells have not been checked and cleared at one of the three launch sites, you will not be permitted to weigh-in.
18. 6:45 AM Start Time: All teams can start fishing at 6:45 AM. Before this time, NO teams may use forward-facing devices, sonar, or other fish-finding equipment to check areas.
19. Protest: All protests must be submitted within 30 minutes following the end of the official weigh-in. Protests must be deemed legitimate by the tournament directors. The tournament director's decision is final in all matters.
20. Complaints: Complaints about teams outside of protest times should be made directly to the tournament directors at (386) 566-3228.
21. Polygraph: By participating, you agree to comply with the rules and submit to and pass a polygraph test.
22. Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are not allowed during the tournament. The use of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs during the tournament hours is prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification. Teams that pre-fish must pre-fish in one boat. No teams may use two separate boats during the same days or times. |
